Here are twelve practical questions about SEASEE filters, answered in a few lines each. Most answers point to the longer article on the topic, so you can stop at the short version or read on when a topic matters to your home. SEASEE filters are a comfort and preference choice.
Fitting and choosing a shower
Will a SEASEE shower filter fit my shower?
The shower kits are designed for a shower with a hand shower on a hose, where the hand shower unscrews from the hose by hand. The SEASEE shower screws on in its place, and your old one screws back on whenever you like. A fixed head on the wall with no hose is not what the kit is designed for, and if you are unsure which you have, a photo sent on WhatsApp is the quickest way to settle it. The fitting steps are in Fitting a SEASEE shower filter by hand.
Which shower kit should I choose?
Basic and Premium use the same five-layer head filter, sediment body filter and refills. Premium adds a sturdier, premium-quality build and an anti-slip handle in Bright White, Opaq Misty or Jet Black. Vita C is the scented option: the Vita C shower head filter is an external Vitamin C filter cartridge, gel-type and scented, and the Vita C head refill fits both the Basic and Premium kits. Basic, Premium or Vita C? compares them.

Changing the shower filters
How often should I change the shower filters?
As a guide, the body filter about every 2 to 4 weeks and the head filter about every 2 months, whether that is the five-layer head refill or the Vita C head refill. Timing varies with local water conditions and how often the shower is used. Change sooner if a filter looks dark or the pressure drops. How often to change your shower filter has the full schedule.
My shower head leaks after a change. What should I check?
Check that the head filter is fitted the right way round, with the black side facing the water outlet and the white side facing up, and that its rubber ring has not shifted. Open the shower head, correct whichever it is, and twist it closed until it is tight. If it still leaks, write to us. Signs your shower filter is due explains why a leak after a change is a fitting check, not a sign that a filter is due.
Basin, bidet and laundry
Will the basin filter fit my tap?
The basin kit is designed for taps with a threaded outlet, an internal thread, and some kitchen taps with a threaded outlet fit as well. A standard connector is fitted, and 7 spares come in the box. Take the aerator off and look inside the spout. Will a basin filter fit my tap? walks through the check and the connectors.
How do I change the basin refill?
Change it about every 1 to 2 months: twist the cap off, open the tap slightly so the water pressure pushes the used filter out, insert the new one tip down, and tighten the cap gently. If the stream sprays sideways, brush the face plate. Changing a basin refill explains both.
What is the jet bidet filter, and when do I change it?
It is a jet bidet sprayer with a replaceable filter, and the kit comes with one filter installed. Change the filter about every 1 to 3 months, or sooner if it looks dirty or the pressure drops. A refill box holds 5 filters. See Jet bidet filters.
Is there a filter for the washing machine?
Yes. The Monster Filter Kit comes with a washing machine accessory in one combined pack, and it is changed about every 1 to 3 months, or sooner if it looks dirty or the pressure drops. A water filter for the washing machine lists the contents.
Travel and the Refill Plan
Can I take a filter on holiday?
The travel shower filter is compact and fits between a shower hose and a shower head, so it can go with you. For daily use at home or on trips, change it about every 2 to 4 weeks as a guide. Refills come as a 3-pack. Showering away from home covers checking, fitting and packing it.
How does the Refill Plan work?
You put single refills on a plan and choose a rhythm of 6, 8, 12 or 16 weeks. We email you 3 days before each order, and you can skip, pause or cancel from your account, with no minimum number of deliveries and no cancellation fee. The plan renews until you cancel it. To change the refills or quantities in a running plan, cancel it and set up a new one. Bundles are not eligible. See the Refill Plan and the Refill Plan explained.
Where SEASEE is made, and getting help
Where is SEASEE made, and what is inside?
SEASEE filters are made in South Korea. The shower head filter stacks five layers in a disc 6.5 cm across and 2 cm thick, and the basin kit body uses ECOZEN, a biomass-based plastic from SK Chemicals. Made in Korea sets out the materials.
Who do I ask if I am not sure?
Message us on WhatsApp, email sales@seasee.sg, or use the contact page. A photo of your tap or shower helps most. If you are setting up a whole home, start with the room you use most, and ask us about the others as you go.
