A SEASEE shower kit replaces the hand shower at the end of your hose. It is designed for home installation on a standard shower hose, so there are no tools, no drilling and no plumber involved. It takes three steps, and the third is a note on the calendar.
Both filters arrive already fitted: a five-layer head filter in the shower head and a sediment body filter in the handle. You can use it the day it arrives.
Before you start
Run through this quick list:
- Your shower has a handheld shower on a flexible hose.
- The hand shower unscrews from the hose by hand.
- The water is turned off at the shower mixer.
- There is a dry towel on the floor or ledge to catch drips.
- A spot is ready for your old hand shower, somewhere dry.
If your shower is a fixed head on the wall with no hose, the kit is not designed for it. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will help you check.
Step 1: Unscrew your hand shower from the hose
Hold the end of the hose steady with one hand and turn the hand shower anticlockwise with the other. Most come off with a few turns. If a small rubber washer sits inside the hose end, check that it stays in place.
Keep your old hand shower. Wipe it dry and put it away with any parts that came off with it. It screws back on whenever you like, which is useful when you move out of a rented flat or simply want to switch back.
Step 2: Screw on the SEASEE shower, hand-tight
Line the SEASEE handle up straight with the end of the hose and turn it clockwise by hand. Go slowly for the first turn so the threads meet evenly; if it feels stiff straight away, back it off and start again rather than forcing it.
Stop when it is snug. Hand-tight is the whole instruction. Tools are not needed, and overtightening can strain the threads or squash the washer.
Turn the water back on and run the shower for a moment. Check the joint between the hose and the handle for drips. If you see any, turn the water off, unscrew the shower, check that the washer is sitting flat and the threads are straight, and screw it back on by hand.
Step 3: Note the date
This is the step people skip, and it is the one that keeps the shower working as it did on day one.
- Your first body filter is due in about 2 to 4 weeks.
- Your first head filter is due in about 2 months.
Timing varies with local water conditions and how often the shower is used. Write the date somewhere you will see it, or open My refills in your SEASEE account and use "I changed it today" whenever you swap a filter, so it shows when the next one is due.
If you would rather not keep count, single refills can go on the Refill Plan. We email you 3 days before each order, and you can skip, pause or cancel from your account. The plan renews until you cancel it.
Changing the filters later
Turn off the water before you open the shower.
Body filter, about every 2 to 4 weeks
- Twist the top part of the shower head handle to open it.
- Take out the used filter and insert a new SEASEE sediment body filter.
- Twist the shower head back until it is tight.
Head filter, about every 2 months
- Twist open the top part of the shower head.
- Insert the new head filter with the black side facing the water outlet and the white side facing up.
- Check that the rubber ring is seated, then twist the shower head closed until it is tight.
If the head leaks after a change, check that the filter is the right way round and that its rubber ring has not shifted. Change either filter sooner than the guide if it looks dark or the water pressure drops.

A note on water
Singapore's tap water is treated by PUB and is safe to drink straight from the tap. A SEASEE shower filter is a comfort choice: it is designed to help hold back sediment and reduce residual chlorine before the water reaches you, for people who prefer how that feels.
Choosing a kit
The Basic and Premium kits fit the same way and take the same refills. The Premium kit adds a choice of finish: Bright White, Opaq Misty or Jet Black. Product images on each page show the dimensions and installation diagrams, and if anything about your shower looks unusual, a photo on WhatsApp is the quickest way to an answer.
