When you collect the keys to a new flat, the filter question can wait a week. When you are ready, a short walk through the home is all it takes: look at each tap once, note what it ends in, and match it to a kit. This checklist goes room by room, whether the flat is a new HDB, a resale flat or a condo.
It is not a list of things the home needs. Filters are a comfort and preference choice. If you like how a filtered shower or basin feels, this is how to set it up.
Before you start
Keep three things at hand:
- your phone, for photos of any tap you want to ask us about;
- a notes app, for the date you fit each kit;
- a little time per room, because the checks are short.
Take the photos as you go. A picture of the end of a spout is the quickest way to settle a question on WhatsApp.

Shower
Look at the shower in each bathroom. The kit replaces the hand shower at the end of the hose, and the question is whether yours unscrews from the hose by hand. If it does, the SEASEE shower screws on in its place, and your old one can go back whenever you like. If the shower is a fixed head on the wall with no hose, the kit is not designed for it. Send us a photo and we will help you check.
Basin and kitchen taps
Unscrew the aerator and look inside the spout. The SEASEE basin kit is designed for taps with an internal thread, and some kitchen taps with a threaded outlet fit as well. If a tap has no internal thread, leave it for now.
Bidet spray
If a bidet hose is already installed, the jet bidet is a sprayer with a replaceable filter that connects to it. The kit comes with one filter installed. Its set-up, refills and timing are in Jet bidet filters: set-up, refills and timing.
The laundry corner
If your washing machine stands in the service yard or a utility corner, note where it is and how it is connected today. Trips away
A travel shower filter fits between a shower hose and a shower head, so it can go on holiday or to a hotel. Its filter is changed about every 2 to 4 weeks as a guide. It is optional on move-in day, but easy to add to a first order.
Setting reminders
Once a kit is fitted, the useful habit is writing the date down. As a guide:

A simple order of work
- Walk the flat and photograph any tap you are unsure about.
- Decide which rooms you want to start with.
- Order the kits, or a bundle that matches.
- Fit each kit and note the date.
- Set up reminders, or a Refill Plan.
You can add the other rooms later. Start with the one you use most, and see how it feels.
